Carolinians see ‘Clash of Civilizations’
Posted June 24th, 2008 by BoardIn a new poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, 61% of North Carolinians believe that a “Clash of Civilizations” exists between Christians and Muslims in the global community. Moreover, 42% of North Carolinians view Islam as a violent religion compared to 35% who do not, while only 14% of respondents view Christianity as a violent religion. With respect to the State of Israel, a plurality of respondents (46%) believed that the United States should support Israel at all costs and 52% of respondents believe that religion should shape American foreign policy.
